Not sure if welding is the right fit for you? Unsure which process to learn? Our 3-hour taster session offers the perfect opportunity to familiarise yourself with the workshop environment. You’ll have the chance to speak with an instructor, try out a few beads in the MMA, MAG, and TIG processes and gain insight into which welding process you may want to explore further. 

Course participants must be 15+ (school year 11)

Course Details:

• A 15-minute knowledge session covering the benefits of each welding process
• Workshop induction
• Setup of welding machine and related equipment
• 5mm PAD on carbon steel plate
  • Course outcome 1: Beads on plate

• In-house certificate awarded upon successful completion of the program
• Progression onto introduction to MAG, MMA or TIG welding course

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and flame retardant overalls will be provided.  Each participate must provide their own steel toe cap footwear.
