This is an open session for a more relaxed approach to welder training for beginners or hobby craft welders in either MMA/MAG or TIG welding process. 10am - 3pm.

Course participants 15+ (School year 11)

Course Details:

• Workshop induction
• Setup of welding machine and related equipment
• 5mm PAD on carbon steel plate
  • Course outcome 1: Beads on plate

• 3mm Carbon steel sheet
  • Course outcome 2: Single run tee fillet in the PA position
  • Course outcome 3: single run tee fillet in the PB position

• In-house certificate awarded upon successful completion of the program
• Progression onto the introduction to MAG, MMA or TIG welding course

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and flame retardant overalls will be provided.  Each participate must provide their own steel toe cap footwear.
