Course will run over two days from 9am till 3pm on Saturday & Sunday

Course aimed at hobbyists, DIYers to learn the basic principles of MAG welding

Course participants 15+ (School year 11)

Course Details:

• A 30-minute knowledge session covering the basic principles of MAG welding, terminology and weld defects.
• Workshop induction
• Setup of welding machine and related equipment
• 3mm Carbon steel sheet/tube or box

Course outcome 1: Fillet welds various positions

Course outcome 2: Open corners various positions

Course outcome 3: Box or tube to plate

• In-house certificate awarded upon successful completion of the program

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and flame retardant overalls will be provided.  Each participate must provide their own steel toe cap footwear.
